NEW YORK, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- The cast of "Sex and the City: The Movie" has been spotted filming wedding scenes in Manhattan, the New York Daily News said Wednesday.

The bride is Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, whose on-off relationship with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) has kept fans of the HBO series nibbling their nails for years.

Although Noth reprises his role from the series in the new film, the News didn't say if Big was the groom in the wedding scene.

However, Carrie's best girlfriends Miranda (Cynthia Nixon,) Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and her best gay friends Stanford (Willie Garson) and Anthony (Mario Cantone) were all on-hand to prepare for the event.

The wedding party was seen wearing jewel-toned couture, while Carrie's gown is believed to be an original from Vivienne Westwood, the newspaper said.

Extras dressed as Park Avenue matrons, complete with lap dogs, were also on the scene to cheer as Carrie passed by and Charlotte's adopted daughter was the flower girl.
