LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Former child star Danny Bonaduce reportedly attacked "Survivor" star Jonny Fairplay at the Fox Reality Channel Really Awards in Los Angeles.

Bonaduce, who is best known for his role on the 1970s TV show "The Partridge Family," is named as the suspect in a felony battery report, TMZ.com reported Wednesday.

Bonaduce jumped on stage at the event, picked Fairplay up and slammed him on his face, smashing out several of Fairplay's teeth and sending him to a nearby hospital where police were called, TMZ.com said..

Speaking on "The Adam Carolla" radio show Wednesday, Bonaduce admitted he didn't like Fairplay. He said he thought the awards show was over and was leaving when he saw Fairplay on the stage, asking the audience why they were booing him.

Bonaduce said he went on stage and told Fairplay the crowd was jeering at him because they hated him, prompting Fairplay to run at, jump on and wrap his legs around Bonaduce.

He said he didn't know if Fairplay was joking, but added he grabbed Fairplay by the seat of the pants and flipped him over his head into seat, not realizing how light he was.
