Rowland announces fall concert tour

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Grammy Award-winning recording artist Kelly Rowland announced plans for a North American fall concert tour.

The tour is to begin Oct. 28 in Seattle and end Dec. 1 after a three-night run at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas.

R&B singer Mario will open for Rowland at select venues.

Rowland is expected to perform songs from her "Simply Deep" and "Ms. Kelly" albums, as well as some "in-concert surprises from the Destiny's Child repertoire," Music World/Columbia Records said in a statement.

Rowland’s fall concert tour marks the artist's first set of U.S. concert dates since the Destiny Child "Destiny Fulfilled ... And Lovin' It" farewell tour in 2005.
