SEATTLE, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- The British rock band Radiohead has announced it will release its latest album itself on the Internet.
"In Rainbows" will be released digitally Oct. 10 on radiohead.com without record label support and marketed by word-of-mouth, The Seattle Times said Monday.
The group also is inviting fans to pay what they want to download the tracks on the day of release.
The Times said the move could show the music industry what fans think is fair market value.
For those who still want to own the two-CD set -- complete with artistic packaging -- a deluxe album will go on sale in December for $80. However, it can be pre-ordered now and those who buy the set will also receive the downloads on Oct. 10, the Times said.
