FREMANTLE, Australia, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Actress Lois Maxwell, who starred as Miss Moneypenny in a string of James Bond movies, has died in a Western Australian hospital at age 80.
A spokeswoman for the Fremantle Hospital said Maxwell died late Saturday night.
The Canadian-born Maxwell acted in several Hollywood films before landing the role of Moneypenny in "Dr. No," the first Bond movie, in 1962.
She played the character 14 times before moving to Australia where she lived until her death.
