LOS ANGELES, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- A representative for U.S. pop star Michael Jackson said reports he married his children’s nanny are erroneous.
The National Enquirer ran a story Thursday on its Web site, quoting a source supposedly close to the couple as saying: "Grace was happy to go along with it. She's always been devoted to Michael and has raised the kids since the day they were born. Michael knew she'd make a perfect stepmother."
The tabloid also said it had obtained a real estate document on which Jackson declared himself a "married man."
However, the singer’s spokesman has issued a statement to E! News insisting: "Wide spreading reports regarding Michael Jackson being married are not true. … Documents stating otherwise are a hoax."
Jackson was previously married to Lisa Marie Presley and Deborah Rowe, the mother of his two oldest children. Both marriages ended in divorce.
