Madame Tussauds renders Camilla in wax

LONDON, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Madame Tussauds' first wax rendering of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has been unveiled in London.

The Camilla clone will soon be placed next to Prince Charles, flanked by Princes William and Harry and surrounded by the rest of the royal family, the Sun reported Wednesday.

The princes’ late mother -- Diana, Princess of Wales -- will be 15 feet away, facing the duchess.

Camilla modeled for a sculptor at Clarence House and offered her input on what her doppelganger should wear and what her eyes should look like.

She also donated a pair of cream suede LK Bennett shoes and a Philip Treacy clutch bag to help the model with her look.

The waxwork is the first the London museum has made of the Duchess even though she has been involved in Charles's life for years.

Ben Lovett, spokesman for Madame Tussauds, told the Sun: "When the Prince of Wales got married to the Duchess of Cornwall, there wasn’t that much public interest in having her here. In the last 12 months there has been a general warm swell of support for her."
