LONDON, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- British actress Keira Knightley said she has self-esteem issues and insisted she detests facing hordes of photographers and media at celebrity affairs.
"I hate red-carpet events; I absolutely hate them. I don't like the fact that people write, 'Oh, you look like crap' in print. Or 'I don't like your arms!'" Knightley told Allure magazine.
The actress, who has starred in "Pride and Prejudice" and the three "Pirates of the Caribbean" flicks, also said she has issues regarding her self-image.
"I'm not Wonder Woman. I have self-esteem problems. Everybody does. You know, skinny people are allowed to feel s--- about themselves," she said.
Asked about reports that she suffers from anorexia, Knightley said: "I haven't got a clue about how much I weigh. I do not own any scales. And I have noticed it creates an anger in people who are not skinny. People like to blame their insecurities on other people."
