HOUSTON, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Comcast Cable has pulled a PETA ad, featuring naked spokeswoman Alicia Silverstone, from the airwaves in Houston.

The move to ax the 30-second spot came just hours before it was to air on E!, Lifetime and Food Network, E! Online reported.

The ad, which is mean to show what a vegetarian lifestyle can do for one’s body, was supposed to run in Houston because the city is reportedly one of the unhealthiest in the country.

"I'm Alicia Silverstone, and I'm a vegetarian," the 30-year-old actress and animal rights activist says in the commercial. "There's nothing in the world that's changed me as much as this. I feel so much better and have so much more energy."

A Comcast representative said the ad was pulled because of the nudity, even though it had been approved and paid for and news broadcasts have already aired clips.

The ad will also still run in Dallas throughout the week.
