LONDON, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Cherie Blair has written a book that addresses the stormy relationship her husband, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, had with new PM Gordon Brown.

Blair's book is to come out in October to coincide with the Labor Party conference, the Mirror said Thursday.

A source told the newspaper, "It would be appalling to stick the knife into Gordon but it would not be surprising."

The Mirror said the book begins with Cherie Blair's childhood in Liverpool and follows her as she rose to become a top lawyer and, eventually, Tony Blair's wife.

The $2 million she is getting for the book should help pay for the mortgages she and her husband have, which are said to total $40,000 a month, the newspaper reported.
