Piven wins supporting actor Emmy

Jeremy Piven was named best supporting actor in a comedy at the 59th annual Emmy Awards show in Los Angeles Sunday night.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Jeremy Piven was named best supporting actor in a comedy at the 59th annual Emmy Awards show in Los Angeles Sunday night.

The actor, who plays Hollywood uber-agent Ari Gold, beat out his "Entourage" co-star Kevin Dillon, as well as "The Office" star Rainn Wilson, "How I Met Your Mother" actor Neil Patrick Harris and "Two and a Half Men" comedian Jon Cryer, for the honor.

This is the second year in a row Piven has won the award for the category.
