DALLAS, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- The co-writer and co-star of “Easy Rider,” Peter Fonda, has decided to “share some of his treasures with collectors and fans,” an auction official says.
The man who gave life to "Captain America" is now selling off some of his cherished memorabilia from “Easy Rider” at the Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas, The Dallas Morning News reported Sunday.
Fonda "just decided it was time to share some of his treasures with collectors and fans,” said Doug Norwine, director of music and entertainment memorabilia at the auction house.
Among the items up for auction Oct. 6 are: a $50,000 American flag taken from the back of Fonda’s jacket, a Department of Defense pin from the jacket, valued at $15,000, and Fonda's gold record for the film's soundtrack album, valued at $2,000.
