NASHVILLE, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A Tennessee judge has sentenced country singer Mindy McCready to a year in prison for violating her probation in Florida, TMZ reported Friday.

The 31-year-old singer was arrested in Ft. Myers, Fla., in July after police responded to a domestic dispute between her and her mother. McCready was convicted in 2004 on a prescription drug fraud charge and was ordered to serve three years probation.

She has now been convicted on a felony charge because she violated the terms of that probation.

In addition to the prison sentence, the judge gave McCready two more years of probation and 200 additional hours of community service.
