LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Hollywood actors Edward Norton and Brad Pitt have signed on to star in a big-screen adaptation of the British mini-series "State of Play."
The pair previously worked together on the 1999 film "Fight Club."
"The Last King of Scotland" director Kevin Macdonald is set to direct their latest collaboration, which is based on a script penned by "The Kingdom" scribe Matthew Michael Carnahan, Variety.com reported Tuesday.
In the film, Norton will play a congressman whose rise in politics is threatened by an investigation into the death of his mistress.
Pitt is set to portray the journalist who oversees his newspaper's coverage of the murder and develops a relationship with the politician's estranged wife.
The film is expected to start filming in November.
