Diddy's girlfriend planned dramatic exit

NEW YORK, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Kim Porter says she planned a dramatic exit from the home and life she shared with New York hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, Essence.com reported.

The couple ended their stormy relationship, which produced three children, in July.

Porter said she waited until Combs was out of town, and then packed up the house -- taking the cars, the kitchen table and the nursery furniture for their children.

"There was no other way,” she said. “He wouldn't have wanted me to go. I wanted to be dramatic. I wanted him to know I wasn't breaking up with him for two weeks ... . Puffy's an action person, not a talk person. So I had to have an action."

Asked if she ended the relationship because Combs allegedly fathered a child with another woman, Porter said, "That definitely was part of it.

"I left because at this point in my life I want something different for myself. I invested 10 years, I have children, and I've always stood by him. But now it's time for me and what I want to do for Kim."

A representative for Combs told People.com, "We're not commenting."
