NEW YORK, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Actor Brad Pitt and his 5-year-old son Maddox left New York's Yankee Stadium with a bat and a ball from Derek Jeter, The New York Post said Wednesday.

Jeter is little Maddox’s favorite Bronx Bomber. Pitt and his son sat with Brooklyn filmmaker Spike Lee and his 10-year-old son, Jackson, in New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg's box to cheer the Bombers to victory over the Mariners Tuesday night.

At one point, Jeter walked up and presented the gift to Pitt’s little boy.

"He loved it," Pitt told The Post as he and Maddox climbed into a Cadillac Escalade after the seventh inning.

Asked where his companion, Angelina Jolie, was that night, Pitt replied: "Hey, we got three other kids."
