LOS ANGELES , Sept. 5 (UPI) -- British actor and comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has chosen two new film projects to follow up his success in last year’s "Borat," Variety.com reported Wednesday.

"Borat" became a pop-culture phenomenon and earned the writer-actor both an Oscar nod and a Golden Globe.

Cohen, who will be seen this year in Tim Burton’s film version of "Sweeney Todd," has also signed on to bring his flamboyant Austrian fashion reporter from "Da Ali G Show" to the big-screen in “Bruno.”

After Cohen completes that film, he plans to make "Dinner for Schmucks," a remake of Francis Veber's French comic hit, "Le Diner de Cons."

"Borat" producer Jay Roach is in line to direct "Dinner," however, a deal with Cohen hasn't been closed and the timing of the project is still indefinite, Variety.com said.
