ST. PETERSBURG, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- The injured son of wrestler Hulk Hogan has been released from a Florida hospital, where he was taken after being seriously injured in a weekend car accident.

Nick Bollea, 17, was treated and released from a St. Petersburg hospital for minor injuries resulting from an accident Sunday in which his car went off the road and struck a palm tree, People magazine reported Monday. His friend, John Graziano, remained hospitalized in critical condition.

"Nick is currently at the hospital with John and his family," his mother, Linda Hogan, said in a statement. "His sole concern is for the well-being of his friend. On behalf of my family, we ask that your thoughts and prayers be with John and his loved ones."

Bollea, featured with his family on the reality show "Hogan Knows Best," was driving his vehicle on a four-lane highway in Clearwater, Fla., when the car's rear tires hit the raised median, police said. After fishtailing, the car slammed into the palm tree.
