Chili Peppers' sound mystery solved

LONDON, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Mystery solved -- the reason the sound went out at a Red Hot Chili Peppers' concert in England was that singer Anthony Kiedis stepped on a power cable.

The band played four songs on the Main Stage at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival before the problem was fixed. They then finished their two-hour set with no further problems, NME.com reported Sunday.

A publicist said Kiedis jumped on the cable by accident. The rest of the band decided to cut their instruments in and out of the song, making it sound almost like a jam session.
