NEW YORK, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- The September issue of the New York-based fashion bible Vogue has set a record for most advertising pages -- 727 -- published in a monthly consumer magazine.

The glossy, which is on newsstands now, contains 840 pages and weighs a staggering 4 pounds, 9 ounces.

Vogue Publishing Director Tom Florio said the issue generated so much advertising, in part, because of Tuesday’s anticipated debut of ShopVogue.TV, the magazine’s video on-line shopping and entertainment network.

The broadband network will feature four channels of original programming, including “60 Seconds to Chic,” “Behind the Lens,” “Trend Watch” and “The Collections.”

Viewers will be able to buy more than 1,500 products from a total of 170 brands showcased on these programs as they watch them.
