LONDON, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Troubled Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty was arrested for suspected drug possession early Monday, just hours after performing at Britain’s V music festival.
The 28-year-old singer was arrested in Tower Hamlets and held at an east London station house after police stopped the car he was traveling in, the BBC reported Monday.

A judge less than two weeks ago warned Doherty to clean up his act or face jail in connection with a previous case.
Doherty had admitted to driving illegally while in possession of crack, heroin, ketamine and cannabis but has since undergone a stomach implant to help him kick his drug habit.
