ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Singer Jordin Sparks, who won this year's “American Idol” contest, has signed a record deal with 19 Recordings/Jive Records in Orlando, Fla.

The first single from the 17-year-old, "Tattoo," will be released by Jive Aug. 27, Billboard.com reported Sunday.

Sparks' first album is set for a November release, just a little more than a month after the “American Idols Live Tour” ends.

"I'm feeling a little bit of pressure because it's coming up so fast," Sparks told Billboard.com. "But I have full confidence that we'll finish it by the time we have to."

She also will appear on Fox’s Teen Choice Awards Aug. 26.
