NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Crowds of people flocked to Saks Fifth Avenue in New York this week to help launch a new shoe section of the famous department store.
Among the shoe aficionados who attended the grand opening of the store's shoe collection was TV actress Debra Messing, who praised the countless pairs of designer shoes up for sale, the New York Post said Saturday.
"This is the kind of closet one only dreams of," the former "Will & Grace" star said at Friday's event.
Stylist Phillip Bloch echoed the actress' comments, saying the wide variety of shoes being offered would make any Hollywood actress excited.
"They're like chocolate," Bloch said of shoes. "Except without the calories. There's not a woman in Hollywood who's not addicted to shoes."
The grand opening came after the store relocated its shoe department to the eighth floor and effectively doubled its size to increase its offerings, the Post reported.
