LOS ANGELES, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Celebrities will strut their stuff in today's hot fashions during the Celebrity Catwalk in Los Angeles to raise money and awareness for animal rescue issues.

The 7th Annual Celebrity Catwalk, set for Thursday at The Highlands Hollywood, raises money for such animal rescue organizations as Noah's Ark and Almost Home rescue, the organization said in a news release.

Since it began, "the event has helped to benefit animal relief efforts, providing food and shelter for abused and abandoned animals," said event organizer Jennifer Bartok.

Celebrities include comedians and television stars such as Aubrey O'Day, Kim Kardashian, Golden Brooks, Wesley Jonathan, Kyla Pratt, Tara Reid, Kim Coles and Kym Whitley, and Playboy Playmates Kendra Wilkinson, Barbara Moore, Tiffany Fallon and Shauna Sand Lamas.

A diverse list of corporate sponsors includes companies from the travel, clothing, fragrance, and health and beauty sectors.

"(We) supports the need to give back to the community and applauds the Celebrity Catwalk for taking on the cause of animal safety in times of crisis," said Robert Hudson, director for global marketing for Motions, a leader in multi-cultural professional hair care.
