NEW YORK, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Producers will use a Web site to search for an actor to play Christopher "Notorious B.I.G" Wallace in a film about the rapper killed in Los Angeles in 1997.

Beginning Monday, hopefuls can upload videos of themselves on www.biggiecasting.com for a chance to portray the New York hip-hop artist shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in March 1997, the Web site said on its home page.

Actors are being cast as the producers -- Wallace's former managers Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts and his mother, Voletta Wallace -- search for an unknown to play Wallace in "Notorious," allhiphop.com reported Friday.

Production is scheduled to begin in the fall.
