BURBANK, Calif., Aug. 8 (UPI) -- British pop singer Melanie Brown -- known as Scary Spice when she sang with the Spice Girls -- reportedly called in sick Wednesday to CNN's "Larry King Live.â€

The interview had been billed as her first conversation on television about her feud with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy over his taking responsibility for their daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

Murphy acknowledged last Friday -- two days after Brown filed a petition in court to establish legally him as the child's parent -- that he is the baby's father.

"Access Hollywood" said Brown will not appear on "Larry King Live" because both she and her baby are sick.
