Mayer, Dave Matthews to play at Va. Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- John Mayer and the Dave Matthews Band said they will perform at Virginia Tech next month to help the university begin the school year on a positive note.

On April 16, student Seung-Hui Cho went on a rampage on the campus in Blacksburg, killing 32 people and himself in the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.
