Minnie Driver releases second album

NEW YORK, July 31 (UPI) -- Minnie Driver has turned failed relationships into lyrical fodder for her album "Seastories," which she is promoting during a U.S. tour through August.

During a stop in New York, the British-born actress told People magazine the second album was inspired by "someone who I loved very much and still have a great, wonderful friendship with, even though it didn't work out." She didn't name names.

Driver, nominated for an Emmy for her leading role in the FX drama "The Riches," dated her "Good Will Hunting" co-star Matt Damon, was engaged to actor Josh Brolin in 2001 and recently was linked to illusionist Criss Angel.

The ballad-heavy album released in July "is about recovering. It's about knowing you'll always love again," she said.

Driver's debut album, "Everything I've Got in My Pocket," was released in 2004.
