MUMBAI, July 29 (UPI) -- Mumbai police have reportedly arrested the man who has been making annoying and indecent crank phone calls to several Bollywood actresses.

The Press Trust of India said Mehraj Rehman was arrested in Hyderabad Friday and brought to Mumbai to answer the charges Sunday.

Rehman is accused of making a nuisance of himself by calling actresses like Isha Koppikar, Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor.

"The cranky caller was produced before a magistrate's court in Bandra today where he has been remanded to police custody till Aug. 1," a police spokesman said.

Police seized multiple SIM cards from Rehman, which they believe were used for making the calls, PTI said.

The news agency did not say what penalties Rehman faces if convicted.
