HOLLYWOOD, July 25 (UPI) -- Actor Jim Carrey has agreed to star in "Yes Man," one of three films he expects to make before June, when Hollywood faces a possible labor strike.

Carrey will follow "Yes Man" early next year with Disney's Robert Zemeckis-directed "A Christmas Carol." Third up will be one more from a pool of several to which his name has been attached, Variety reported Wednesday.

Writing the "Yes Man" screenplay is Nicholas Stoller, who co-wrote the Carrey film "Fun With Dick and Jane." Peyton Reed is set to direct the film, scheduled to begin production in October.

Based on a memoir by British author Danny Wallace, "Yes Man" casts Carrey as a man who aims to change his life by saying yes to everything that comes his way.
