Virginia community really wild about Harry

FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 18 (UPI) -- A Virginia city was dubbed the "Harry-est Town in America" by Amazon.com based on orders of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

Residents in Falls Church, Va., per capita placed more orders for the final installment of the J.K. Rowling boy wizard series than any other town in America, the online book seller said in a news release. The book hits the shelves Saturday.

Because Falls Church, a suburb of Washington, is so wild about Harry, Amazon.com will donate a $5,000 Amazon.com gift certificate to the Mary Riley Styles Public Library Foundation Trust of Falls Church.

"We are a happy Harry-est group here at the Mary Riley Styles Public Library Foundation Trust and delighted to learn that the magic of Amazon.com will touch us," said Chester DeLong, treasurer and trustee of the Mary Riley Styles Public Library Foundation Trust. "The 11,000-plus citizens of Falls Church, waving their 10,139 library cards, have won the ultimate game of Quidditch."

Amazon.com used U.S. Census data and included all U.S. towns and cities with a population greater than 5,000 people.

Vermont claimed bragging rights as the "Harry-est State" on a per capita basis. However, the District of Columbia had a figure higher than any of the 50 states.
