NEW YORK, July 17 (UPI) -- Washington state punk rockers MxPx show you can go home again on their new album.
"Secret Weapon," the faith-based trio's eighth album, took MxPx back to Tooth & Nail Records, the label that released its first three albums before the group moved to a major label in 1998. MxPx's return, according to singer-bassist Mike Herrera, was initiated by the company but welcomed by the band.
"They came to us with a really good deal," Herrera said, "and we were like, 'Hmm, that's strange, but we should at least look into it.'
"And when it came down to it, we worked out all our past differences. They mended what they had done in the past to us, and we were kinda like, 'I'm sorry, too. Let's make nice ...'"
MxPx headlined a Tooth & Nail Tour earlier this year, before "Secret Weapon's" release.
