WILMSLOW, England, July 16 (UPI) -- Rock singer and reality TV star Kerry Katona and her baby daughter were held captive at knifepoint by burglars early Monday at their home in Wilmslow, England.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, her child and her husband, Mark Croft, escaped unharmed, even though the thieves were allegedly armed with a blade, sledgehammer and crowbar, police told The Guardian.
One intruder held Katona and her daughter in a downstairs room while her husband was taken through the house by two others who reportedly collected valuables, then made off with the family's BMW, the newspaper said.
Katona's publicist Max Clifford said Croft told him his wife was "in a dreadful state" after a knife was held to her throat as her house was being robbed.
He told Sky News the couple had security cameras covering the house but the three men would be hard to identify since they were wearing balaclavas.
Katona won the British reality series, "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here" and has spoken openly about how she sought treatment for drug addiction at a rehabilitation center when her first marriage collapsed. She is now a writer for "OK!" magazine.
Remy Ma pleads innocent to shooting pal
NEW YORK, July 16 (UPI) -- New York rapper Remy Ma pleaded innocent to attempted murder, first-degree assault and weapons charges in the shooting of a close friend.
Ma, 26, who surrendered to police Saturday, was released Sunday from Rikers Island after her manager put up his home as collateral to satisfy a $250,000 bond, the New York Daily News reported Monday.
Remy Ma, whose real name is Remy Smith, allegedly shot Makeda Barnes-Joseph, 23, twice in the abdomen early Saturday morning in Manhattan because she suspected the younger woman snatched about $3,000 out of her purse during a birthday party.
"All I heard was the gun go off," Barnes-Joseph told the Daily News from her bed at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan. "I couldn't believe she shot me!"
Barnes-Joseph was listed in stable condition Sunday.
"What hurts me is that when she shot me she went over and dumped (my) bag," she said. "She didn't even say, 'Oh, my God, I just shot her.' That's what hurt me so much."

Lohan leaves rehab after six weeks
LOS ANGELES, July 16 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan's representative said the 21-year-old Hollywood actress successfully completed her in-patient stint at a California rehabilitation facility.
Lohan spent 45 days at the treatment center where she sought help to overcome her addiction to alcohol.
Lohan on Friday was moved to an intensive outpatient program, which includes attendance at daily Alcoholic Anonymous meetings, outpatient therapy and daily testing, People.com said Monday, quoting a statement released by Lohan's representative.
"She has also made the decision in support of her sobriety to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet. In part she is wearing the bracelet so there are no questions about her sobriety if she chooses to go dancing or dining in a place where alcohol is served," the statement said.
Lohan's representative, Leslie Sloane, also told People.com: "She's doing great. Lindsay is working hard on her sobriety and we are all supporting her."
The actress was seen wearing the monitoring bracelet Saturday night at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas, where she sipped an energy drink and hung out with friends.
