The eight-week, primetime series of "mini-sodes" are intended to whet the appetites of fans throughout October and November, in anticipation of the premiere of Sci Fi's two-hour event, "Battlestar Galactica: Razor."

"Razor" is a special extended installment that will provide a backdrop to events unfolding in the rest of season four of "Galactica."

Filmed as part of the extended episode, the mini-sodes will be included in the unrated Universal Home Video release of "Razor" and will also be available on SciFi.com after their on-air debuts.

Sci Fi also revealed it has upcoming projects that incorporate the talents of Lorne Michaels, Seth Meyers, Michael Shoemaker, Thomas Jane, Steve Niles, Ben Browder and Andrew Prowse.

A new animated comedy called "The Awesomes" is also in the works. The channel describes the show as "SuperFriends" meets "The Office."
