Rowling: Fans will love, loathe last book

GLASGOW, Scotland, July 13 (UPI) -- British author J.K. Rowling is realistic about the plot of her final Harry Potter book: Some readers will love it, others will loathe it.

During the filming of a TV documentary, the author said the nature of the plot for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" provokes the extreme emotions, The Scotsman reported Friday.

"For some people to love it, other people must loathe it. That's just in the nature of the plot," she said.

Rowling said she is "really, really happy" with the series finale in which two characters will die. The novel will be released July 21.

Camera crews followed the author as she wrapped up "Deathly Hallows" while shooting ITV's documentary "A Year in the Life ... J.K. Rowling." Excerpts recently aired in Glasgow are fanning the theory gripping Potter fans worldwide -- Harry is one of the victims.

Rowling, meanwhile, remains mysterious about the fate of the boy wizard. In a recent interview, she said she "sobbed her heart out" and downed a half bottle of champagne in one after typing the final words.
