Delany, Fillion consider 'Desperate' move

LOS ANGELES, July 5 (UPI) -- Dana Delany and Nathan Fillion -- two Hollywood actors whose TV shows keep getting canceled -- are in talks to join the cast of "Desperate Housewives."

Delany, who won two Emmys for her performance on ABC's "China Beach," was seen last season in the short-lived NBC drama, "Kidnapped."

Her previous FOX show "Pasadena" and CBS medical series "Presidio Med" also didn't last long.

Fillion, meanwhile, had one-season stints on UPN's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and FOX's "Firefly" before those shows went off the air and his latest FOX series, "Drive," barely got out of the starting gate, getting canceled after only four episodes.

If all goes well, though, the actors may find themselves gainfully employed, playing a married couple on Wisteria Lane, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Delany was initially approached several years ago by the creators of "Desperate Housewives" who wanted her to play Bree Van De Kamp in the ABC show's pilot.

Delany turned it down and the role went to Marcia Cross.
