Supermodel Carol Alt files lawsuit

NEW YORK, July 1 (UPI) -- Supermodel Carol Alt has filed suit in New York against ex-husband Ron Greschner on grounds he has failed to uphold their divorce agreement.

Alt claims the former New York Rangers captain, who divorced her in 2001, refused to split $18 million he made from liquidating his stock in a Canadian water company, going back on the terms of their separation, the New York Post reported Sunday.

"This is a business matter," said Alt's attorney, Richard Roth. "Carol maintains that Ron failed to pay her."

Alt and Greschner married in 1983, but after 14 years "unhappy and irreconcilable differences" caused them to split in 1997, although they weren't legally divorced until March 2001.
