Appeals court backs Clinton over lyrics
Friday, November 13
NEW YORK, June 25 (UPI) -- Lawyer Clinton Hughes called Foxy Brown a "colorful character" during a New York court case over an alleged attack on the rapper.
Roshawn Anthony allegedly attacked Brown and stole her purse but Brown denied that the theft happened, the New York Post reported Monday, even though police said she filed a report with authorities.
Hughes said his client, Anthony, also "denies these charges in their entirety."
Even with Brown denying that the incident happened, Anthony was ordered held with a $50,000 bond.
Hughes noted that Brown "has criminal issues of her own," at Anthony's arraignment on robbery, assault and grand-larceny charges in Brooklyn Criminal Court, the Post said.
