LONDON, June 22 (UPI) -- Babyshambles front man Pete Doherty wrote in his diary of plans to wed model Kate Moss this summer -- if the British rocker can stay drug-free.

Doherty, who has waged a very public battle against addictions to heroin and crack cocaine, revealed his marriage plans in "The Books of Albion: The Collected Writings of Peter Doherty," the Croydon Guardian reported Friday.

During one rehab stint, Doherty wrote, "smack and needle-free we shall marry in the summer and I become 10 times happier than any given smackhead. Huzzah!"

The journals detail Doherty's stormy relationship with the supermodel, who hails from the south London borough of Croydon.

The diaries also offer entries from Moss, who wrote, "You have touched my heart and soul," NME.com reported.

"The Books of Albion" follows Doherty's life from his 1999 move to London and launch of The Libertines to his recent addiction problems and his relationship with Moss.
