NEW YORK, June 13 (UPI) -- Country music sensation Taylor Swift has been named as a performer at next week's American Women in Radio and Television gala in New York.

The 17-year-old winner of this year's CMT Award for "Breakthrough Video of the Year" will be on hand at the lavish event June 11 that is organized to honor the annual winners of the National Gracie Award, an AWRT news release said.

This year's event at the Marriott Marquis hotel will be hosted by former CBS sportscaster Lesley Visser.

The black-tie event also will represent the AWRT's 56th anniversary and include guest appearances by tennis star Billie Jean King, CNBC anchor Suze Orman, CNN anchor Paula Zahn and NBC Sports host Mary Carillo.

Swift's appearance at the celebrity event will come in the wake of the "Tim McGraw" singer's memorable appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Good Morning America."
