LOS ANGELES, June 17 (UPI) -- Inmates at the Los Angeles jail where Paris Hilton is being held reportedly have been treated better since the heiress arrived to serve her sentence.

Soraya Lopez, 35, said she was released from the Century Regional Detention Center early just because Hilton is there, Teen Hollywood reported Sunday.

Lopez also said other prisoners are getting privileges because of the spotlight on the jail since the heiress arrived.

"The whole facility is benefiting from her -- we all thank her," said Lopez. "She's the talk of the jail -- I'd call her the top dog. People are getting fed more and inmates like me are being let out sooner because they don't want people around her."
