NEW YORK, June 17 (UPI) -- Actor Robert Iler of "The Sopranos" once participated in a match at an illegal New York poker locale that was robbed last week by two gunmen, a report said.
The New York Daily News reported that the 22-year-old actor, who played A.J. Soprano on the hit HBO series, was seen playing in a poker match at the National CardRoom nights before it was robbed.
A witness said that Iler paid $1,000 to play in the Texas Hold 'Em poker match, but ultimately lost to two pair after going all-in on a hand.
Last Friday, mere days after the "Sopranos" star was at the poker den, two gunmen entered the locale and robbed its owner and patrons.
While no arrests were made in regards to the robbery, police did arrest club manager Edgar Concepcion on gambling and bookmaking charges.
Sources told the newspaper that in addition to Iler, the poker den has been frequented by MLB star Alex Rodriquez and several NBA players in the past.
