Isaiah Washington, 43, who played surgeon Preston Burke on the show, was told Thursday by "Grey's" creator Shonda Rhimes he would not be invited back for the next season, USA Today reported.

Kate Walsh, who plays OB/GYN Addison Montgomery, has also left the show to star in "Private Practice," a spin-off that will air on Wednesdays this fall.

But the show's executives have revealed they plan to add several cast members during the fourth season, including an intern, Meredith Grey's half-sister Lexi, played by Chyler Leigh.

They also said they are seeking a new recurring male character to compete with Patrick Dempsey's Dr. Derek Shepherd.

LONDON, June 11 (UPI) -- Australian pop star Kylie Minogue will become the first woman to receive Britain's Music Industry Trusts' Award at a ceremony Oct. 29 in London.

The awards committee called Minogue, a breast cancer survivor whose career in music has spanned 20 years, "one of the great entertainers of all time" and "an icon of pop and style," the BBC reported Monday.

Minogue, 38, said she was "truly thrilled" about receiving the annual award, which is in 16th year and recognizes a wide range of figures connected to the music industry, including retailers and company executives.

Asked about a movie stemming from the show, which ran for seven seasons over nearly 10 years, Van Zandt replied, "A couple of years from now, who knows?"

His comment brought joy to "Sopranos" fans gathered at The Satin Dolls strip club in Lodi, N.J., which is used as the Bada Bing joint on the show.

If a movie's made, "maybe then we can still have a job," said Suzie Quigley, events manager at the Satin Dolls.

Dennis Quaid says twins will be both sexes

AUSTIN, Texas, June 11 (UPI) -- Actor Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly, revealed in Austin, Texas, the twins they are expecting are a boy and a girl.

"We finally know the sexes of these sweet little children coming into the world -- we've seen pictures of them," Quaid announced at his 5th Annual Dennis Quaid Charity Weekend in Austin. "One of them was a boy and one of them was a girl."

The couple announced last month that they were using a "gestational carrier," a woman who carries a baby conceived by another couple's sperm and egg, who started her pregnancy around that time, People magazine reported Monday.
