LONDON, June 7 (UPI) -- British actress Emma Watson, who plays brainiac Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter movies, said she plans to study philosophy at Cambridge University.

Watson revealed her plan to move from acting to academics during an interview with the Tatler.

She portrayed Potter's cohort at Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft in the five released films, including the soon-to-be-released "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," and has signed on to play Hermione in the final two installments as well.

Watson reportedly earned nearly $4 million from the screen versions of J.K. Rowling's books, the Telegraph reported Thursday.
