Sandra Bullock gears up for 'Proposal'

HOLLYWOOD, May 24 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock has agreed to star in Touchstone Pictures' romantic comedy "The Proposal."

The Peter Chiarelli script is about a female boss who agrees to a sham engagement and marriage to her male assistant so she can avoid deportation to Canada, Variety reported Thursday.

A director has not been named. Executive producers are Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
