NEW YORK, May 22 (UPI) -- "Dateline" co-anchor Stone Phillips' contract won't be renewed, the U.S. television network said, leaving co-host Ann Curry as the newsmagazine's lone anchor.

Phillips' departure in June when his contract expires is the latest in corporate-wide cuts that have hit NBC News, including the decision to let go John Siegenthaler as anchor of the weekend "NBC Nightly News," Hollywood Reporter reported on it Web site Tuesday.

"I'm profoundly appreciative of the many friends and colleagues, past and present, who have been a part of the 'Dateline' family," Phillips, who had been with "Dateline" for 15 years, said in a statement. "This is a great news division with a bright future. I wish the people of NBC News all the best."
