McCartney video to debut on YouTube

LONDON, May 22 (UPI) -- British rocker Paul McCartney's new music video, "Dance Tonight," from his upcoming album, "Memory Almost Full," will have its international debut on YouTube.

The Wednesday screening of "Dance Tonight" will be followed by promotion of the video through "Director Videos" slots on YouTube's home page, a spokesman for the former Beatle said Tuesday in a news release.

Filmed in London last March, the video stars Paul McCartney, Natalie Portman and Mackenzie Crook. It was directed by Michel Gondry, director of "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind."

McCartney said he had seen Gondry's "Eternal Sunshine" and liked the director's work.

"I thought it had a good sense of humor and was a very well-made film," he said. "His work is really simple, witty and just good fun."

"Dance Tonight" is the opening track on McCartney's 21st solo album. "Memory Almost Full" is scheduled to be released in Britain June 4 and the United States June 5. It is the first release on Hear Music, the label formed between Starbucks Entertainment and Concord Music Group.
