SCRANTON, Pa., May 21 (UPI) -- Scranton, Pa., officials revealed plans for a "The Office" Convention during a party with the fictitious paper company's accountants, Kevin and Angela.

Planners of the inaugural "The Office" gathering said the convention is scheduled for Oct. 26-28 in Scranton, home of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Co., the focus of NBC's quirky hit.

On Saturday, much activity in downtown Scranton centered on the actors -- Brian Baumgartner and Angela Kinsey -- with a breakfast and autograph session and a rooftop party.

"We just want to thank you for everything 'The Office' has done for Scranton," Mayor Chris Doherty told the guests of honor. "You really have made a tremendous impact."

Before the festivities began, Baumgartner and Kinsey greeted the crowd with a chant of "Ain't no party like a Scranton party," one of the more memorable lines uttered by Dunder Mifflin's regional manager Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, during the show's recently ended third season.
