SEATTLE, May 20 (UPI) -- The Seattle Space Needle's 45 millionth visitor, Greg Novoa of San Francisco, has won an all-expense paid vacation for two to Paris.
The trip comes complete with a VIP dinner at the Space Needle's sister attraction in Paris, the Eiffel Tower, the U.S. tourist attraction's operators said in a news release.
"It feels great!" said Novoa. "I was like, 'excuse me?' We've never won anything before in our lives!"
The contest was put on in celebration of the Seattle attraction's 45th anniversary.
"We've never been to Europe, so Paris will be an exciting trip," said Novoa. "We can't wait to go to the Eiffel Tower."
Dean Nelson, the president and CEO of the Space Needle Corp., said the company was "incredibly thrilled" to share its 45th anniversary celebrations with tourists and locals alike.
"This was our chance to give back to the people who have continued to support the most recognized icon of this city for the past 45 years," Nelson said. "We look forward to the next 45 years with a renewed excitement."
