Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
LAS VEGAS, May 15 (UPI) -- Kenny Chesney earned his third straight Entertainer of the Year award Tuesday at the 42nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.
Chesney joined only three other artists to have won the award at least three times.
During his acceptance speech, the "Beer in Mexico" singer recalled when he first started playing music as a college student, "the only thing in the world I wanted to do was cut a record."
Besides thanking his family and others, Chesney singled out fellow singer George Strait, with whom he toured.
"I saw what it was like to connect with an audience for the first time," Chesney said. "I thank him for that."
